This course will explore two new longform styles. Students will receive extensive coaching on structure while reinforcing the principles introduced in Level 4. Improv without object work is like a toilet without a seat. It's still a toilet technically, but not one that most people are necessarily happy to encounter. Object work should be considered essential, and yet for many improvisers, the default is "talking heads." In this workshop for intermediate to advanced improvisers, we'll gain an understanding of the value and importance of object work and scene painting. We'll also workshop best practices through drilling and coaching.
